A unique part of Lent, between the Judgement Tower and the river Drava, where the heritage of the river port and the story and anecdotes of bohemian Lent are intertwined, has been domicile of the Bervar family for a century. 

Three generations, interwoven with the river, were marked by Maribor’s turbulent past, and the family tradition resonates in the poet Andrej Brvar’s best poetry. 

Did you know that Lent is a subtle chronicler and an excellent storyteller, and that the river Drava bubbles verbally, sings ravishingly, and dances gracefully? It would be easiest to attribute all this to the intoxication of the top wines by Doppler, Kušter and Valdhuber.

But as we know: we must wade into the river if we want to get to know it.

The cabaret story of river Drava, Lent and the Bervar family was written by Miha Štampah and Eva Nađ and performed by Eva Nađ and Jan Franc Podbrežnik. 

Top wines with youthful freshness and a mix of flavours are represented by Lana Kopše (House of wine Doppler), Žiga Šerbinek (Winery Kušter) and Adam Valdhuber (Wine & Tourism Valdhuber).

The tasting consists of 6 types of wine, two from each winemaker.
